Gifting to a hundred people without losing your mind

Gifting to a hundred people without losing your mind

The hard part of a large gift order is not the boards. It is the addresses. One typo in row 47 of 80 means one person gets nothing while the rest of the office eats.

Use the template

Download the template rather than building your own sheet. The column names are what the importer matches on, and it is forgiving about extra columns and reordering, but it cannot guess what you meant by “recipient name 2”.

What each row is

One row is one recipient. The quantity is how many boards that person receives, and the minimum is two. If you want one board per person, that is one row per person with a quantity of two, which sounds strange until you remember nobody wants a single board for a whole week of lunches.

The bit people miss

Someone will move house between the moment you build the list and the moment it ships. Ask for addresses in January for a December delivery and expect a handful of changes. That is normal and easy to handle, but only if the order is not locked. Orders lock 24 hours before the ship date, because by then the boards are in production.
